Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Roman Emelianenko (ranked 4289 p4p, 2803 weight class) and Russell Northrop (ranked 406 p4p, 99 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Emelianenko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mala Dama - Kabat. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Russell Northrop!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Francis DeMontford and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Emelianenko.
Northrop has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Emelianenko.
Emelianenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Emelianenko shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Northrop flicks out a counter leg kick but Emelianenko steps away.
Northrop chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Emelianenko can pounce on him.
Emelianenko throws a low kick, looking for Northrop's leg but Northrop calmly moves out of range.

Northrop throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Emelianenko on the side of the head.

Northrop avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Northrop let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Northrop throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Emelianenko throws a leg kick that is checked
and Northrop counters with a straight right that drops Emelianenko on his ass! Emelianenko jumps back to his feet. He seems OK to continue so we'll get back to the action.

Our winner, Russell Northrop, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
In defeat, Roman Emelianenko stepped up to the mic, saying 'Try to hit me brother, I have no chin hahaha, wait…'.
