Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bensyn Dahman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asher Sherman!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sherman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dahman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sherman tries to advance position but instead Dahman slips a leg back in to half guard.
Sherman is looking to stall here but Dahman recovers full guard.
Sherman won't allow Dahman to sweep him here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Dahman trying to keep a closed guard but Sherman is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sherman stopping the sweep attempt from Dahman.
Sherman postures up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sherman trying to control the position from guard on top but Dahman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dahman working for a triangle but Sherman defends it easily.
Sherman wants to control from the top but Dahman keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dahman is on top in guard.

Dahman postures up.
Sherman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dahman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sherman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sherman is looking to take a break and control but Dahman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dahman wants to control but Sherman is keeping busy.
Sherman prevents Dahman from improving his position.
Dahman moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Dahman is looking to cinch up a triangle. Sherman throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Dahman's body to avoid the submission. Dahman has instead reached around Sherman's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Dahman arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bensyn Dahman!
Bensyn Dahman decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
