Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Avila (ranked 3962 p4p, 5630 weight class) and Francisco Tovar (ranked 285 p4p, 489 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Avila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Francisco Tovar!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avila is looking to clinch.
Tovar moves into the clinch.
Tovar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tovar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Avila napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Tovar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tovar is staying tight to Avila's torso, preventing him from escaping.
It looks like Tovar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Tovar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tovar lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Avila down.
Tovar is working to tighten his grip on Avila's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Avila has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Tovar is really squeezing tight and eventually Avila passes out! Tovar breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Post fight, Francisco Tovar took to the microphone: 'Easiest fight of my life , this kid should just retire and flip parties at McDonald’s , all the real ones here are invited to the after party at my place tonight let’s get it'.
