PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johannes Rotmensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Micheals (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trey Micheals told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rotmensen throws out a loose jab but Micheals uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rotmensen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Micheals's head backwards.
Rotmensen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Micheals moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Micheals uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rotmensen.
A big left from Rotmensen misses.
The crowd cheers as Rotmensen lands an impressive looking overhand right. Micheals doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Trey Micheals has been cut.
Micheals ducks under a wild hook from Rotmensen.
Micheals goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

and Rotmensen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's time! Rotmensen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Rotmensen drops Micheals with a left right combo! Rotmensen follows him down to the ground into side control.
Rotmensen is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Micheals's shoulder. That is not cool.
Micheals is looking for a sweep.
Micheals is trying to control Rotmensen's posture but Rotmensen avoids it.
Micheals seems a little lost for a moment, as Rotmensen dominates the positioning.
Rotmensen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Johannes Rotmensen just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Rotmensen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Micheals is breathing heavily.

Micheals throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rotmensen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Micheals.
Rotmensen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Rotmensen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Micheals has time to react.
A jab from Rotmensen finds it's way through Micheals's defenses.
Johannes Rotmensen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rotmensen drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Micheals right on the button. Micheals goes down! Rotmensen follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Rotmensen gets the win via TKO!
