Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chhe Chhawl (ranked 2662 p4p, 4033 weight class) and Dion Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 412 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chhe Chhawl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dion Watts!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts misses with a few strikes there.
It looked like Chhawl was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Chhawl swats away the attempt to clinch by Watts.
No joy there for Watts, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Chhawl looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Watts manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Chhawl pushes Watts up against the cage in a clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Chhawl.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Watts creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Watts goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Watts wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Watts throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Chhawl blocks it with crossed arms.
Chhawl breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Watts tries to land a leg kick but Chhawl saw it coming and moves away.
Chhawl takes the fight into the clinch.
Watts is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Watts working hard to break the clinch.
Chhawl has Watts pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Chhawl pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Watts tumbling to the mat - Chhawl dives into Watts's guard.
Chhawl controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Chhawl forces his way into half guard.

Watts is looking to improve his position.
Chhawl is controlling the pace.

Chhawl decides to stand up.
Watts throws a series of punches but Chhawl moves out of range.
Watts tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chhawl sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Watts somewhat.
Chhawl shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Watts napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Chhawl moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Chhawl has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Chhawl fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Watts sprawls well initially but Chhawl persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Watts tries to roll over but Chhawl keeps him under control.
Watts looks winded!

Chhawl seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Watts is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Chhawl decides to stand and escape the position.
Chhawl moves into the clinch.
Watts prevents the takedown attempt.
Chhawl manages to break the clinch.
Chhawl changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Watts looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Watts wants to control but Chhawl postures up.
Watts is looking for a sweep.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A lull in the action here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Chhe Chhawl dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Chhawl bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Watts is looking to get back to his feet here but Chhawl is keeping cool and he's managed to take Watts's back.
Chhawl is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Watts can do to turn this around?

Watts is taking damage to the body and head.
Watts is trying to get back to his feet but Chhawl has full control of the position and if anything, Watts has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Watts covers up after that shot from Chhawl.

Watts is breathing heavily.

Chhawl is punishing Watts with some ground and pound.
Chhawl controlling the position well here. Watts rolled but Chhawl kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

A helpless look comes across Watts 's face. He knows he's trapped as Chhawl lands a series of unanswered strikes. The ref steps in to stop the fight and this one is in the books!
