Placido has chosen Three 6 Mafia-Smokin On Da Dro as his entrance music. Ramon Placido will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
It looks like Rashid Evans has been cut.
Placido throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Placido tries to bum rush Evans with a series of wild strikes but Evans uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Placido ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Evans shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Placido is trying to defend but Evans finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Evans is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Evans thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Evans is thwarting Placido's attempts to control the position.
Evans wants to pass the guard but Placido is defending well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Evans in particular looking to stall.
Placido avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Evans.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Placido throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Placido lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Placido misses with the combination.
Evans takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Placido dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Placido connects with a nice looking jab.
Evans has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Placido finds it's way round the side to connect with Evans's head.
Placido cracks Evans with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Placido paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Placido looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Placido swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Placido misses with a series of wild punches.
Placido misses with a wild body shot.
Placido dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Evans is breathing heavily.
Placido keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ramon Placido seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Placido works Evans's body with a nice hook.
Placido is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Evans walks into a straight right hand from Placido.
Placido throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Placido lands a lovely overhand right.

Placido scores with the left hand. Evans knows he should have avoided that one.
Evans is rocked!
Rashid Evans's cut is getting worse.
Placido dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Placido lands a jab to the nose.
Oh Evans is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Placido ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Evans's jaw. Evans's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Placido does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
