Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between William Kidd (ranked 3086 p4p, 1859 weight class) and Furdas Turngemaxt (ranked 381 p4p, 256 weight class). Kidd comes to the cage accompanied by Drunken Sailor. William Kidd has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, William Kidd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Furdas Turngemaxt! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turngemaxt takes the fight into the clinch. Turngemaxt swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Turngemaxt is working for takedown but Kidd is calmly controlling the position for now. Kidd manages to break the clinch.
Turngemaxt tries to clinch but Kidd moves out of range. Turngemaxt slips a jab and a cross from Kidd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Turngemaxt looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kidd changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Turngemaxt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kidd swats him away and circles back towards the center. A jab from Kidd does it's job there. Turngemaxt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kidd manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kidd misses with a double jab.
Turngemaxt tries to clinch up. Turngemaxt closes the distance looking to clinch and Kidd counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kidd lands a jab. Turngemaxt moves into range and clinches up with Kidd.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turngemaxt misses with an elbow over the top. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Turngemaxt just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kidd's brow. Turngemaxt tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kidd smiles and moves away.

Turngemaxt gets a clinch. Turngemaxt throws an elbow that misses.
Turngemaxt's coach down at Gym To Nica was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Turngemaxt's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. With the fighters up against the cage, Turngemaxt throws an elbow but misses. Turngemaxt turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Turngemaxt manages to end up in side control. Turngemaxt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kidd is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kidd wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Turngemaxt is working to tighten his grip on Kidd's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kidd has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Turngemaxt is really squeezing tight and eventually Kidd passes out! Turngemaxt breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Furdas Turngemaxt! After the big win, Furdas Turngemaxt made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors BANZAI NUTRITION and telling the interviewer how much he loves him. In defeat, William Kidd stepped up to the mic, saying 'Yarrr....lower the flag, mateys. We've been scuttled.'.
