Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alejandro Laguera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Panda Cuchi!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuchi slips under a jab.
Laguera misses with a few strikes there.
Cuchi slips a jab and a cross from Laguera.
Laguera throws a head kick that misses
and Cuchi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Laguera looks to land a combination but Cuchi avoids it well.
Cuchi tries to clinch but Laguera is having none of it.
Cuchi has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Laguera is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Laguera fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cuchi.
Cuchi walks into a straight right hand from Laguera.
Laguera lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Laguera throws a sloppy head kick and Cuchi moves out of range easily.
Cuchi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Laguera doesn't seem bothered though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Laguera lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Laguera thows a leg kick but Cuchi checks it
and Cuchi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Laguera fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Cuchi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cuchi misses with a wild body shot.
Laguera throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cuchi counters with a one-two to the body.
Laguera is rocked!
Cuchi drops Laguera with a big left hand! Laguera is injured, injured bad! Cuchi jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Panda Cuchi!
