Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodolfo Mcclain (ranked 5302 p4p, 5145 weight class) and Lars Gunnar Ekberg (ranked 515 p4p, 507 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rodolfo Mcclain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lars Gunnar Ekberg!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcclain throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Ekberg shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ekberg darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Mcclain regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Ekberg.

and Mcclain counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ekberg is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Mcclain counters with a good low kick that Ekberg was not able to check.

Mcclain has had enough of the clinch but Ekberg keeps him there for the moment.
Mcclain tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ekberg avoids it.
Ekberg changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mcclain fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Ekberg closes the distance and pushes Mcclain back into the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ekberg takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ekberg swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mcclain is now in Ekberg's guard. A big mistake from Ekberg there, giving up the dominant position!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mcclain leaves Ekberg with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Ekberg jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Ekberg misses with a lunging right hand
and Mcclain counters with a nice body kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Mcclain.
Ekberg throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mcclain connects with a high kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Mcclain.
Ekberg tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcclain swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mcclain tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Ekberg manages to circle out of the way.
Ekberg shoots in looking for a takedown. Mcclain tries to sprawl out of it but Ekberg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mcclain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ekberg tries to clinch up but Mcclain circles away and keeps his distance.
A thudding body kick lands there by Mcclain!
Mcclain fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ekberg.

Ekberg shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Mcclain is defending against the submission attempts here by Ekberg.
Mcclain is looking to control Ekberg's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mcclain avoid being mounted?

And that's the end of the fight!
Rodolfo Mcclain showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Ekberg has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
