Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Renato Zeze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Doctor!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doctor closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Doctor is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Zeze to keep the fight standing.
Zeze throws a punch but it's blocked by Doctor.
Zeze doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Zeze misses with the head strike.
Doctor manages to pull guard.
Zeze with a flurry of punches that miss.
Doctor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zeze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zeze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Doctor is looking for a triangle but Zeze pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zeze postures up in Doctor's guard and throws a big left but Doctor blocks it.
Doctor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Zeze is aware though and is defending well.
Zeze controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Zeze throwing strikes from guard but Doctor blocks nicely.

Doctor wants to sweep here but Zeze controlling him for the moment.

Doctor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Zeze is aware though and is defending well.
Doctor is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Zeze rolls with it to try and escape but Doctor cranks on the arm and Zeze is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). The Doctor!
The Doctor bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
