Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Addy Edison (ranked 23994 p4p, 2568 weight class) and James Dalton (ranked 382 p4p, 238 weight class). Edison's entrance music is Entry of the gladiators. A fine choice. Addy Edison has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edison doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Edison uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dalton.
Edison swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dalton thows a left - swing and a miss!

Edison drives through and clinches with Dalton against the cage.
Dalton lands a left hand.

Edison gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Dalton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Edison won't allow Dalton to sweep him here.
Dalton lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Edison is on top in guard.

Dalton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Edison doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Edison manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dalton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Edison is working away from the top position though.

Edison has hold of Dalton's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dalton manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Edison throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Edison slips under a jab from Dalton.
Dalton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Edison defends well and Dalton ends up having to push Edison into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

James Dalton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dalton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Edison.
Dalton throws a looping overhand right but Edison ducks down to avoid it.
Dalton slips a jab and a cross from Edison.

Dalton bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Edison's head backwards.

Edison stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dalton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
