Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anton Kongo (ranked 25267 p4p, 3805 weight class) and Punk Noded (ranked 0 p4p, 412 weight class). Anton Kongo had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Punk Noded!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kongo clinches up against the cage.

Kongo has hold of one of Noded's legs. Noded is fighting the takedown attempt but Kongo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Kongo is standing up over Noded. Noded looks to escape but Kongo dives into side control.

Kongo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Noded to his feet.
Noded misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Noded fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kongo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Noded avoids a punch combination nicely.
Crunch! Noded slams his shin into Kongo's torso.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kongo shoots in looking for a takedown but Noded manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kongo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kongo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Noded.
Noded lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kongo circles away quickly and effectively.
Noded throws a head kick that misses.

Kongo drives through with a takedown into guard.
Noded wants to get back to his feet but Kongo passes into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Noded wants to stand back up but Kongo manages to pass into side control.
Kongo is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Kongo is really struggling to control Noded but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Noded tries to escape but Kongo is in control.

Kongo wants to finish this one by submission but Noded is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kongo.
Noded is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Noded bucks up and throws Kongo to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Noded tries to clinch up.
Noded takes a swing at Kongo's ribcage but misses.
Noded closes the distance and clinches up with Kongo, looking for a takedown. Noded pushes Kongo against the cage but Kongo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Danga de danga de dang - Noded scores with a four punch combination!
Noded connects with a right hand. Kongo shakes it off.
Noded dives in for a single leg takedown but Kongo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Noded shoots in but no luck this time.
A head kick misses from Noded.
Kongo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Noded but Noded pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Noded throws a head kick that half lands.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Noded throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Kongo's head.
Noded throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kongo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Noded is fending him off so far but Kongo persists. Nope, Noded circles away and we're back to standing.

Kongo rushes Noded and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Noded's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Noded is trying to break free.
Noded wants to get back to striking at distance but Kongo won't allow it.
Kongo is trying to drag Noded to the mat but Noded just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kongo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kongo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Noded.

Kongo pulls guard successfully.

Noded stands and steps away. Kongo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Horrible takedown attempt by Noded or perhaps it was just good defense by Kongo, which made it look bad.
Noded has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Noded throws a head kick that Kongo semi-blocks.
Noded throws a series of punches but Kongo avoids them all with ease.
It looked like Kongo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Kongo takes a kick to the side of the head.
Kongo slips under a jab from Noded.
Kongo shoots for a takedown but Noded saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Noded is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kongo with a body shot.

Noded thuds a left hand into Kongo's body.
Noded tries a head kick but it misses.
Kongo is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Noded.
Kongo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Kongo shoots in for a takedown but Noded shows good takedown defense.
Kongo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Noded lands a slapping body shot.
Noded tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kongo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Noded tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kongo just stands there and leans against the cage.

Kongo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Noded pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Kongo gets control of Noded's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kongo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Noded wanted to stand there but Kongo had control of the position.

Kongo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Noded manages to get himself to full guard.

Kongo stuffs the takedown.
Kongo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Noded scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kongo in his tracks.
Anton Kongo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kongo instigates a clinch.
Kongo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Noded walks away with a smile on his face. Kongo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kongo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Noded - the referee stops the clock and Kongo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Noded. Kongo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

A head kick from Noded lands but Kongo takes it in his stride.
Noded looks to land a combination. Kongo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Noded throws the kick towards the body but Kongo avoids it.

and Kongo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Kongo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Noded tries to avoid it but Kongo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Noded to the ground. Noded escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Noded throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Punk Noded seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Punk Noded is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kongo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Anton Kongo.
I think Noded has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
