Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erick Colonel (ranked 4004 p4p, 24520 weight class) and Manning Moore (ranked 430 p4p, 535 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erick Colonel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Manning Moore! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colonel pushes Moore up against the cage in a clinch. Moore tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Colonel just stands there and leans against the cage. Colonel blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Moore throws a head punch that misses. Moore throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Colonel blocks it with crossed arms. Moore can't get the takedown.
A head punch on the inside from Moore fails to land. Colonel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Moore gets a clinch. Colonel breaks from the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Moore. Erick Colonel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manning Moore. Moore tries to close the distance and clinch but Colonel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Colonel circles away from the clinch attempt and Colonel counters with a one-two to the body. Colonel gets in close and instigates a clinch. Moore has Colonel pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Colonel manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Moore goes for a takedown attempt but Colonel pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Moore working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Moore throws a big elbow that misses. Moore working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colonel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Moore is controlling him. Moore throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Moore loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Moore has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Colonel wants to stand up but Moore is controlling him.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Moore looks for a takedown but Colonel sprawls well. Moore wants to clinch up but Colonel keeps it at a distance. Colonel shoots in but no luck this time. Moore thinks about the counter body kick. Moore shoots for a takedown but Colonel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Moore fails in his attempt to clinch. Moore leaves Colonel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Moore defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Colonel. Colonel dives in for a single leg takedown but Moore sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Moore is looking to take this one to the mat. Moore tries to score a body lock takedown but Colonel shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Colonel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Colonel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Moore closes the distance and clinches. Colonel is trying to break the clinch but Moore is controlling him. Moore goes for a takedown attempt but Colonel pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Colonel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moore sprawls well. Moore wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Colonel gets slowly back to his feet. Colonel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Colonel plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Moore goes for a double leg but Colonel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Colonel continues to drive forward. Moore fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Colonel, pushing him back against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Moore goes for a takedown in the clinch but Colonel prevents it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Erick Colonel dominated that round. That's time! Colonel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Colonel dives in and scores a takedown into Moore's guard. Colonel has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Moore wants to stand but Colonel is controlling the position. Colonel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Colonel stands and steps away. Moore gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Erick Colonel is winning the standup battle so far. Moore steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Colonel. Colonel misses with a head kick.

Colonel lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Moore tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Colonel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Moore is looking to clinch. Moore keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Moore let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moore darts in and clinches Colonel up against the cage. Moore tries to land knees in the clinch but Colonel avoids the damage to the body. Moore fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Colonel's efforts to push away. Colonel breaks from the clinch.
Moore shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Colonel as he jumps to the side. Colonel drives through with a takedown into Moore's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Moore has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Colonel off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Colonel moves into range and clinches up with Moore. Moore drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Colonel gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Colonel pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Moore tumbling to the mat - Colonel dives into Moore's guard. Moore has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Colonel has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Colonel is trying to force a seperation but Moore has the dominant position. Colonel breaks from the clinch.

Moore swings wildly with an uppercut but Colonel uses good head movement to avoid it. Moore goes for a takedown in the clinch but Colonel prevents it.
Moore is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Colonel is defending well for now. Colonel prevents a takedown attempt there.

Moore on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Erick Colonel is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Colonel throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
And that's the end of the fight! Erick Colonel showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Colonel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
