Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Skog (ranked 968 p4p, 623 weight class) and Mordor Mettovaara (ranked 124 p4p, 81 weight class). Skog kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Another One Bites the Dust - Queen. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mordor Mettovaara!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mettovaara throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Gunnar Skog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A low kick from Skog is predictable there
and Mettovaara connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Gunnar Skog has been cut.
Mettovaara throws a head kick but Skog moves out of range.
Mettovaara throws the left hand but Skog avoids the punch easily.
Skog walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Skog keeps the fight on the outside.
A little feinted left hand from Skog on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Skog takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mettovaara. Skog does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mettovaara fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mettovaara throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mettovaara drives through and clinches with Skog against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Skog prevents a body shot from Mettovaara.
Mettovaara has Skog pressed against the cage, preventing Skog from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Mettovaara is trying to pull guard but Skog has him pressed against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Mettovaara fails to land.
Mettovaara jumps guard but Skog stands there with Mettovaara around his waist. Mettovaara gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mettovaara throws a punch but it's blocked by Skog.
Skog blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A right handed body shot lands from Mettovaara.

Mettovaara misses with a hook from the clinch.
Mettovaara doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Skog breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mettovaara smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Mettovaara connects with a jab.
Mettovaara cracks a nice hook into Skog's ribs.
A jab from Mettovaara finds it's way through Skog's defenses.

Mettovaara is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Skog is breathing heavily.
Mettovaara throws a right hand that Skog ducks under and follows up with a left that Skog also avoids with ease.
Mettovaara misses with a head kick.
Skog misses with a hook. Mettovaara ducked under it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Skog ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Skog takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Mettovaara cracks Skog with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mettovaara has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Skog to stand back up!
Skog is rocked!
and Mettovaara counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Skog! He's just covering up as Mettovaara starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mordor Mettovaara!
A relieved looking Mordor Mettovaara thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
