Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Midget Mode Jones (ranked 2068 p4p, 1928 weight class) and Kai Asakura (ranked 135 p4p, 127 weight class). Kai Asakura has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Midget Mode Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kai Asakura!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asakura throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily.
Asakura lands a head shot.
Jones moves out of range of the body kick.
Asakura looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Asakura manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Asakura blocks a head kick by Jones.
Asakura tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jones feinted with a counter takedown.
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Asakura but Asakura pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jones tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Asakura counters with a right hand to the body.
Asakura lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Asakura thuds a left hand into Jones's body.
Nice shot lands for Asakura.
Asakura shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Asakura to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Asakura swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jones has his takedown stuffed
and Asakura connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Asakura lands a jab to the nose.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones tries to clinch up.
Jones keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Asakura.
Jones half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Kai Asakura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones drops down looking for a counter takedown but Asakura sprawls and moves away.
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Asakura throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones fails with the takedown
and Asakura counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Asakura misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kai Asakura is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones fails to land the takedown.
Asakura lands a front kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Asakura swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Asakura but Asakura pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jones takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Asakura moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Asakura throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones gets a takedown into half guard.
Jones passes to side control.
Jones looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Jones has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Jones working for a guillotine from mount but Asakura is in no mood to give up.
Asakura is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Jones trying to control but Asakura is having none of it.
Jones is really struggling to control Asakura but he's trying to hold on to the position.

You get the feeling that Asakura really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Jones content just to control the position here.
Jones wants to control the pace but Asakura is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Asakura is on top in guard.

Jones has his hands on Asakura's head, controlling the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kai Asakura dominated that round.

Jones shoots in for a takedown but Asakura shows good takedown defense.
Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Asakura's guard.
Jones is stalling in the full guard.
Jones won't allow Asakura to get back to his feet.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Asakura is retaining full guard.
Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Asakura is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard.

Asakura tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Asakura from controlling successfully.
Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Asakura doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Asakura manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones has a closed guard, preventing Asakura from standing up.
Midget Mode Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Asakura manages to get himself to full guard.
Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Asakura is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jones pushing down on Asakura's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Jones has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Asakura is trying to escape the mount.
Jones jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Asakura is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Asakura and Jones has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Asakura is not content to let Jones control the position.
Asakura really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Asakura gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
