Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Parker (ranked 2560 p4p, 1910 weight class) and Too Young For Island (ranked 251 p4p, 186 weight class). Too Young For Island struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
For Island moves into range and clinches up with Parker.
Parker throws an elbow that misses.
For Island tries a knee to the head but Parker blocks it.
With the fighters up against the cage, Parker throws an elbow but misses.
For Island has hold of one of Parker's legs. Parker is fighting the takedown attempt but For Island gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Parker looking for a guillotine here but For Island defends easily.
Parker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but For Island can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
