Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beau Ruane (ranked 5575 p4p, 4672 weight class) and Max Grip (ranked 500 p4p, 465 weight class). The key to victory for Beau Ruane has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Beau Ruane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Grip!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Ruane or perhaps it was just good defense by Grip, which made it look bad.
Oooooh!!! Ruane has knocked Grip down with a huge combo! Ruane steps away and waves a wobbly Grip back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Max Grip has been cut.
Grip avoids a kick to the body.
Ruane tries to clinch up.
Grip dives in and grabs Ruane's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ruane pushes down on Grip's head and hops out.
Ruane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grip is fending him off so far but Ruane persists. Nope, Grip circles away and we're back to standing.

Ruane pushes Grip off but Grip dives into side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Grip closes the distance and pushes Ruane back into the cage.
Ruane gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Grip regains guard.

Ruane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Grip defends it easily.

Ruane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grip on the ground.
Grip slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Grip stands up and waves to Ruane to follow him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Grip dives in and scores a takedown into Ruane's guard.
Grip is stalling in the full guard.
Ruane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Grip wants to stand but Ruane has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Ruane can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Grip controls the pace.
Grip slips nicely into half guard.
Grip with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Grip passes the guard and advances to mount!
The referee warns Ruane that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Grip is landing with some decent strikes but Ruane is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Let's hope that Grip has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ruane enables Grip to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ruane manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Grip is taking a breather. Ruane says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Grip stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Ruane to get to his feet.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Grip is cranking Ruane's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Ruane! He's tightened the choke and Ruane is tapping out!

A relieved looking Max Grip thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
