Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Castillo (ranked 1578 p4p, 2640 weight class) and Edgar Garcia Jr (ranked 163 p4p, 245 weight class). Garcia Jr is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: “Still Tippin”. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edgar Garcia Jr!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia Jr looks to land a combination but Castillo avoids it well.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Richard Castillo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
