The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Loco fails to land the takedown.
Loco tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hestler swivels and escapes.

Red Hestler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mono Loco.

Hestler moves into range and clinches up with Loco.

Hestler has picked Loco up - he's going for a ride! Hestler dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Hestler takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hestler seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Loco for as long as he can get away with.

Hestler takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hestler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hestler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hestler is riding his opponent, not letting Loco buck him off.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Hestler is stinking the place up with his stalling.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Hestler.

Loco is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hestler.

Loco is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.
