The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Everett moves into range and clinches up with Fontaine.

Everett is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Fontaine can't fight it off and eventually Everett manages to take the fight to the floor. Fontaine looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fontaine is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Everett is aware though and is defending well.
Everett works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Fontaine is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Everett pulls his head out easily.

Everett is trying to control the action in half guard but Fontaine is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fontaine is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fontaine trying to hold on to Everett's head to control him but Everett postures up.
Everett moves into full mount! Fontaine won't be happy about that!

Well, if Everett is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Fontaine is doing well to control the position and prevent Everett from advancing to side control.

Fontaine is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Everett's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Everett's back!

Fontaine is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fontaine keeps control of the position as Everett tries to break free.

Fontaine is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Everett is defending well though. Fontaine let's go of the attempt for now.
Fontaine is looking to control Everett but Everett is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Fontaine is hanging on to Everett's back as he tries to escape.
Everett is working hard here to advance position.
Everett tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Everett is squirming around, avoiding Fontaine's attempts to control the action.

Fontaine goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Everett turns into him and now he's in Fontaine's guard.

Fontaine has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Everett doesn't defend quickly enough and Fontaine has managed to lock this one up! Can Everett escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Fontaine on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Trip Fontaine!
