PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Master Leader (ranked 3506 p4p, 3827 weight class) and Charles Lee (ranked 308 p4p, 333 weight class). Leader's entrance music is Champions - Kanye West (ft Travis Scott, Quavo, etc…). A fine choice. Charles Lee is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Master Leader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Lee!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leader closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lee blocks a jab.
Leader cracks Lee with a good jab.

It looks like Charles Lee has been cut.
Leader tries a head kick but it misses.

Lee gets a clinch.
Leader lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Lee is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Leader is defending well.

Leader misses with a short punch on the inside.
Leader has a couple of punches blocked by Lee.

Lee has Leader pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Leader manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Lee is trying to drag Leader to the mat but Leader just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lee is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Leader pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Lee is just content to waste time from the top position. Leader takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lee is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Leader defends it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lee is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Master Leader dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Charles Lee's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Master Leader is winning the standup battle so far.

Master Leader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee throws a series of punches but Leader avoids them all with ease.

Lee has taken the fight to the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leader lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Leader swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Lee is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Leader gets through Lee's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Leader breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've been told by Leader's head coaches at KO MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Lee clinches up with Leader and pushes him back against the cage.

Leader throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Lee has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Leader is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Leader lands a brutal head kick. Lee looks out on his feet and Leader throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
