PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Punch Clinch Submit (ranked 5234 p4p, 3901 weight class) and Nick Braulio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Braulio has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Submit fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Braulio on the side of the head.
Braulio uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Submit.
Submit throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Braulio to counter with a crisp jab.
Braulio looks winded!
Braulio with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Submit to score with a decent uppercut.
Submit rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Submit takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Submit throws a big shot that misses.
The fighters circling - Submit throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Some wild striking there from Submit.
A nice side step and Braulio releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Submit throws a lazy uppercut
and Submit takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Submit has his takedown stuffed
enabling Braulio to counter with a crisp jab.
Submit lands with a hook. Braulio tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Submit shoots in and bounces Braulio off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Submit drops back looking for a leg! Braulio is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Braulio manages to kick Submit off! Submit jumps back into Braulio's guard.

Braulio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Submit. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Braulio is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Submit is controlling him.
Submit is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Submit trying to control but Braulio is working from the bottom.

Submit thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Braulio is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Braulio working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Submit.
Submit stops Braulio from standing up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Braulio can do anything to dispel that myth.

Submit drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Submit jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Braulio is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Submit is controlling him.
Submit slips nicely into half guard.

Submit moves into full mount! Braulio won't be happy about that!

Submit looking for a guillotine from mount but Braulio is having none of it.

Submit is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Braulio is surviving well by controlling Submit's body position as best he can.

Braulio is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Submit locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Braulio is forced to tap!
