Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isopaa Mfer (ranked 351 p4p, 798 weight class) and Julio Christ (ranked 24 p4p, 53 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Julio Christ enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Julio Christ!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mfer misses with a hook. Christ ducked under it nicely.
A clash of legs there as Mfer blocks the low kick.
Mfer attempts a counter takedown but Christ avoids it well and moves away.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Christ breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mfer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Christ counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mfer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Christ's corner calls for a 1-2. Christ obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Christ misses with a body kick.
Mfer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mfer lands in his opponent's guard.
Mfer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Christ wants to stand but Mfer is controlling the position.
Mfer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mfer wants to control from the top but Christ keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
We've been told by Mfer's head coaches at ubergym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Christ moves away from the strike by Mfer.
Left hook, right uppercut from Mfer.
It looks like Julio Christ has been cut.
Christ takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Mfer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mfer wants to stand but Christ has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Mfer has gone for a leg lock! Christ slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mfer's guard.

Mfer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Christ doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Christ manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mfer holds on and takes a little breather.

Mfer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Christ is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Mfer wants to hit a sweep here but Christ passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Mfer there!

Mfer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Christ wants to improve his position but Mfer is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Christ has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mfer is working away from the top position though.

Mfer seems to be working for a kimura but Christ defends the submission attempt.
Mfer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Christ is just riding it out for now. Mfer eventually gives up the hold.

Mfer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Mfer in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Christ tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mfer!
