Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Demetrious Johnson (ranked 4593 p4p, 4019 weight class) and Piru Grey Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 395 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey Jr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Grey Jr rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Johnson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Johnson is looking for a takedown.
Johnson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Grey Jr to keep the fight standing.

Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grey Jr sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Grey Jr does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Grey Jr dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Johnson. That did some damage!
Grey Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Johnson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grey Jr throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Johnson crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
