The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pearson lands in his opponent's guard.

Wagon felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Pearson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Pearson gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Pearson apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Pearson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Pearson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pearson is taking a breather. Wagon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Pearson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wagon keeps working.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pearson walks into a straight right hand from Wagon.
Pearson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Wagon is out of range and Pearson settles back down.
Wagon moves in looking to clinch but Pearson pushes him off.

Wagon throws a right and a left that Pearson avoids nicely.
