Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Capot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yokishawa Iwao!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Frank Capot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Iwao takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
A punch combination from Capot misses.
Capot shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Iwao but Iwao pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Iwao decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Iwao is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Capot is trying to maintain the position but Iwao is very close to passing his half guard.

Iwao really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Capot. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Iwao thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Capot wants to control but Iwao is having none of it.
Iwao takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Iwao is stalling in the full guard.
Iwao's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Capot is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Iwao is aware though and is defending well.

Capot bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Iwao's guard.
Capot slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Capot has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Iwao!

Iwao rolls, trying to escape but Capot keeps control of the position.
Capot throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Iwao!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Iwao can't escape the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Capot throws a series of punches but Iwao avoids them all with ease.
Iwao changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Iwao shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Iwao showed some decent athleticism there.
Iwao takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Iwao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Capot keeps working.
Iwao is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Capot is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Iwao's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Iwao's back!
