The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moon scores with a nice head shot.
Moon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Akiyama paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Moon connects with a jab.
Akiyama misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Moon moves into the clinch.
Akiyama wants a takedown but no success here.
Moon lands a right hand that snaps the head of Akiyama backwards.
Moon tries for a takedown but Akiyama manages to get underhooks.
Akiyama blocks an uppercut.
Moon is working for takedown but Akiyama is calmly controlling the position for now.

Moon is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Akiyama to keep the fight standing.

Moon is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Akiyama gets his way!
