The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maron buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ferguson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Marons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Mike Maron has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Maron. Ferguson does a little dance to reset his feet.

It looked like Ferguson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Maron has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
No joy there for Maron, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Ferguson counters with a nice right hand that sends Maron toppling to the canvas! Maron scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Ferguson finish him?!

Mike Maron's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mike Maron's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
