PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Boy (ranked 4015 p4p, 5480 weight class) and Vick Falcon (ranked 0 p4p, 510 weight class). Falcon has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Big Boy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Vick Falcon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Falcon looks winded!
Boy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Falcon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boy tries for a takedown but Falcon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Boy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

It looks like Vick Falcon has been cut.
No joy there for Boy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Falcon's waist but Falcon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boy off to one side.

Boy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Falcon circles away quickly and effectively.
A looping hook to the body misses from Boy. Falcon does a little dance to reset his feet.

Boy throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Falcon's head.
Boy darts in looking for a takedown but Falcon gets double underhooks and turns Boy into the cage.

Falcon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boy, pushing him back against the cage.

Falcon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Falcon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Falcon pulls Boy in close to his closed guard and prevents Boy from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Falcon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Falcon wants it to stay on the feet.

Falcon is pressed up against the cage. Boy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Falcon down to the mat. Falcon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

I would just about give that final round to Vick Falcon.
