Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Santorino (ranked 971 p4p, 769 weight class) and Larry LeFell (ranked 126 p4p, 98 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Larry LeFell!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

LeFell moves into the clinch successfully.
Santorino definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
LeFell is looking for a takedown.
Santorino digs a right hand into LeFell's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on LeFell's gas tank.
LeFell is trying to pull guard but Santorino has him pressed against the cage.
Santorino tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
LeFell wants to take the fight to the mat but Santorino manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Nick Santorino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry LeFell.
Santorino goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

LeFell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santorino swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It looked like Santorino wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
LeFell closes the distance but Santorino moves to the side
and Santorino counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Larry LeFell has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

LeFell takes the fight into the clinch.

Santorino pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

A low kick lands for Santorino.

LeFell pushes Santorino up against the cage in a clinch.
LeFell is looking for a takedown.
LeFell misses with a short punch on the inside.
Santorino scores with a shoulder strike.
Santorino lands with a short shot to the head.

Santorino pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
LeFell has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Santorino finds it's way round the side to connect with LeFell's head.

LeFell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Santorino is fighting off a takedown attempt but LeFell is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Santorino to the mat. Santorino regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Santorino tries to land a sweep but no joy.
LeFell stops Santorino from standing up.

LeFell pushing down on Santorino's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
LeFell prevents Santorino from standing back up.

LeFell is working for a submission of some sort.
Santorino is trying to stand.
Santorino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for LeFell on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

LeFell is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Santorino!
You get the feeling that Santorino really doesn't like being in this position too much.
LeFell controlling the pace for now.
Santorino prevents LeFell from taking his back.
Santorino tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Santorino tries to hold on but LeFell postures up.
Santorino is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
LeFell mounts Santorino! Really nice guard pass there!
LeFell is looking to work his way around to Santorino's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

LeFell is working for a rear naked choke. Santorino is not defending it well and LeFell has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Santorino refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Santorino's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

After winning the bout, Larry LeFell thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
