Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Grip (ranked 4735 p4p, 2653 weight class) and Sato Ngata (ranked 442 p4p, 287 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Sato Ngata enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Grip! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sato Ngata! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Grip misses and Ngata counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Grip! Grip prevents Ngata from improving position. Grip struggling a bit here. Grip trying to remain calm as Ngata controls from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grip is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ngata wants to stand but Grip has his arm trapped. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grip is trying to control Ngata's posture but Ngata avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grip is trying to improve his position. Ngata controls the position. Ngata works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
It looks like Max Grip has been cut. Ngata wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grip, who protects the arm well. Grip being controlled for a moment. Ngata tries to stand but Grip is controlling his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Grip manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ngata controlling the pace. Grip taking some punishment here, with Ngata in his half guard. Ngata takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Grip has a hand on Ngata's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Ngata takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Ngata content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ngata prevents Grip from getting the reversal. Grip is working hard here to advance position. Ngata dominating with strikes here. Ngata with a couple of short strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ngata looking to control and managing it successfully. Grip is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Grip is breathing heavily. Ngata content just to control the position here. Grip is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ngata working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Grip turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ngata off and cradles Grip's limp body as Ngata celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Sato Ngata!
