Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Quek Wei (ranked 4906 p4p, 4917 weight class) and River Castaneda (ranked 363 p4p, 364 weight class). River Castaneda will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Quek Wei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, River Castaneda!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Wei or perhaps it was just good defense by Castaneda, which made it look bad.
As Wei backs off Castaneda throws a huge counter combo but Wei manages to avoid it all.
Wei slips a jab and a cross from Castaneda.
Wei feinted with a counter takedown.
Castaneda lands a head shot.
Wei changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Castaneda tries to avoid it but Wei manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Castaneda to the ground. Castaneda escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wei goes for a double leg but Castaneda avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Castaneda continues to drive forward.

Wei changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Castaneda fights it off and pushes away nicely.

We've been informed that Castaneda has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

River Castaneda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Castaneda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
