Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Chester (ranked 24601 p4p, 23941 weight class) and Tater Salad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Chester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tater Salad!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chester lands with a kick to the temple. Salad shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Salad tries to clinch but Chester moves out of range.
Salad dives in and grabs Chester's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chester pushes down on Salad's head and hops out.
Chester gets a takedown into half guard.
Salad pushes Chester off looking to stand but Chester dives back in and keeps control.
Chester content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Chester is keen to just control but Salad is a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chester thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Salad's head.

Chester takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Chester tries to pass to full mount but Salad defends it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Salad wants to get back to his feet.

Salad shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Chester counters with a takedown into side control.
Chester postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Chester fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Chester tries for a kimura but Salad is defending well.
Salad seems a little lost for a moment, as Chester dominates the positioning.
Salad felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Salad managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Chester.
Salad is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Chester is controlling him well.
Chester looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Chester misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Salad throws a lazy right hand but Chester sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Chester drops down looking for a counter takedown but Salad sprawls and moves away.
Chester manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Salad on his heels. He'll look to pass Salad's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chester trying to control the position from guard on top but Salad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Chester not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Chester throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Salad was covering up waiting for the punch and Chester finishes the takedown easily into guard.
