Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Bryant Smith (ranked 20638 p4p, 2105 weight class) and Ron Funches (ranked 437 p4p, 205 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Television - Marquee Moon. Funches is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Homosapien. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 32 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryant Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Funches!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith connects with a body shot.
Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Funches sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Funches dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Smith. That did some damage!
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smith sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Funches has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Funches throws a counter combo.
Funches avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Smith tries to work over Funches's front leg with a kick but Funches checks it.

Smith scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Ron Funches has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ron Funches seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Funches looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Smith keeps Funches at a distance using the push kick.

Funches paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Funches changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Funches steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smith.
The fighters circle momentarily. Funches darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Smith throws a jab but it's blocked by Funches.
A head kick misses from Smith.
Funches throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Funches lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Funches feints and then cracks Smith's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Smith down.
Funches stalks Smith and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Smith's face. Smith staggers backwards, shaken.
Smith is rocked!
Funches has managed to clinch.
Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Funches throws a punch but it's blocked by Smith.

Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Funches moves out of range easily.
Smith swings for the body but Funches moves out of range.

Funches manages to break the clinch.
Funches with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Funches scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Smith chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Funches can pounce on him.
Funches connects with a quick right hand that sends Smith tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the cage, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Ron Funches!
