This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 12 losses; Pablo Octavio! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 23 wins and 8 losses; Satan Blue!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Octavio closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Blue did well to prevent Octavio getting side control. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Octavio (2) vs (0) Blue
Octavio seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blue does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Octavio seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee asks Octavio politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Octavio prefers to stall for the moment though.

Blue looking to break Octavio's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Octavio remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Blue will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Octavio might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Blue is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Octavio has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Blue has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Octavio taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Blue doesn't care though - he's delighted!
