The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Oh closes the distance and clinches up with Ramirez, looking for a takedown. Oh pushes Ramirez against the cage but Ramirez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ramirez gets a double leg takedown into Oh's guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Oh's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Ramirez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oh has control of Ramirez's left arm, preventing Ramirez from doing any damage.

Ramirez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Oh swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ramirez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Oh's guard.
Ramirez is taking a breather. Oh says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Let's hope that Ramirez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ramirez wants to take a breather but Oh is having none of it.

Ramirez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
My spies in KFA inform me that Ramirez has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Ramirez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Ramirez is looking to take a break and control but Oh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Oh is looking to improve his position.

Oh is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ramirez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ramirez's back!

Oh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ramirez for as long as he can get away with.

Ramirez trying to control the hands but Oh won't let him.
Oh is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Oh has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Ramirez's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Ramirez is keeping busy.

Oh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Oh trying to hold on to Ramirez's head to control him but Ramirez postures up.

Ramirez wins on points by 7 to 4. Jackson Ramirez retains his middleweight title!
