The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Banner enables Crazy Horse to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Banner manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Banner (0) vs (2) Crazy Horse
Crazy Horse tries to free his leg and advance position but Banner is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Crazy Horse working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Crazy Horse is trying to get an arm triangle but Banner is defending well.
Banner tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crazy Horse wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Crazy Horse looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Banner's coaches at HELLCADEMY have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Crazy Horse is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Banner is just riding it out for now. Crazy Horse eventually gives up the hold.

Crazy Horse drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Crazy Horse jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Banner is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Crazy Horse frees his head nicely. Oh but Banner has switched to an armbar! Crazy Horse is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
