And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 3 losses; Radu Dracul! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Dracul is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ramirez's half guard. Ramirez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dracul controlling the action here. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ramirez is working hard here to advance position.

He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Dracul looking to control but Ramirez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ramirez is in all sorts of trouble here.

Dracul is looking to work his way around to Ramirez's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Ramirez is squirming around, avoiding Dracul's attempts to control the action. Ramirez can't escape the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramirez holds on to Dracul as tight as he can, avoiding damage. We've been hearing good reports from Ramirez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Dracul is keeping the position for now. Ramirez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Dracul pulls Ramirez in to control the position. Ramirez preventing the sweep.

And that's the end of the fight! Ramirez takes the fight on points by 8 to 5. Jackson Ramirez retains his middleweight title! Jackson Ramirez very nearly forgot to thank Threads of Fate amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
