Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffery Ponce (ranked 4127 p4p, 3100 weight class) and Sylwester Goryl (ranked 395 p4p, 321 weight class). Goryl is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dziwki Dragi Lasery. Jeffery Ponce has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeffery Ponce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sylwester Goryl!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ponce avoids a kick to the body.
Goryl lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Goryl misses with a head kick.
As Goryl backs away, Ponce returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Ponce keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Goryl.
Goryl tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A bone on bone clash there as Goryl blocks the leg kick.
Goryl unleashes a big counter combination but Ponce bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Goryl throws a right and a left that Ponce avoids nicely.
Goryl throws a series of punches but Ponce avoids them all with ease.
Ponce pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ponce tries a head kick but it misses.
Goryl throws a combination. Ponce tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Jeffery Ponce has been cut.

Ponce takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Goryl's coach down at Gold Samurai\'s Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Goryl's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ponce shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Goryl sprawls well. Goryl wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ponce gets slowly back to his feet.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Goryl.
Goryl swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ponce swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Goryl throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ponce tries a head kick but it misses.
Goryl throws a counter combo.
A head kick misses from Goryl.
Ponce appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Goryl lands a body shot.
Goryl lands a big head kick that sends Ponce tumbling to the mat! Goryl takes a step backwards and waves Ponce back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ponce looks to land a left hand but Goryl moved out of range nicely.
Goryl throws a right hand that Ponce ducks under and follows up with a left that Ponce also avoids with ease.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ponce lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Goryl has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Goryl and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Ponce looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
No joy there for Goryl, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ponce feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Goryl throws a right and a left that both miss.

Ponce throws out a loose jab but Goryl uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ponce doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Sylwester Goryl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ponce avoids the head kick by Goryl.

Oh Ponce is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ponce switches off momentarily and Goryl cracks him with a monster right hand! Ponce topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Goryl dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Goryl!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sylwester Goryl!
