Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gil Brother (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Credible (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Justin Credible!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Credible.
Credible fails in his attempt to clinch.

Credible is looking to clinch but Brother is avoiding it.

Credible scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Brother won't allow Credible to pass to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brother tries to kick Credible off but Credible keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Brother is trying to maintain the position but Credible is very close to passing his half guard.

Credible really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brother. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brother wants to control but Credible is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Credible drops an elbow to the side of Brother's head.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

I looks like Credible might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Brother scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Brother tries for a takedown but Credible circles away easily

and Credible counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Brother slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Credible looking to sit in guard and control but Brother gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Brother won't allow Credible to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Credible wants to stand but Brother is controlling the position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brother wants to get up but he can't break Credible's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Credible bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Brother is looking for a sweep.
Credible just content to control the position.

Let's hope that Credible has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Credible tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Credible wants to work for an arm triangle but Brother is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Brother regains full guard. Nicely done.
Credible postures up.
Brother is really struggling to control Credible but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Credible working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Credible wants to control from the top but Brother keeps moving.
Brother can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Credible controls the pace.

Justin Credible showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Credible with a poor takedown

and Brother counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Brother stands up from half guard.

Credible closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Credible working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Credible looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Brother desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Credible working over Brother with some ground and pound. Brother looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Brother looks like he's trying to stand up.
Brother is looking for a sweep. Credible is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Brother is working hard here to advance position.

Brother throws a punch but it's blocked by Credible.

Credible fails to pull guard.
Credible drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brother gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gil Brother has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Credible.

Credible pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Danga de danga de dang - Credible scores with a four punch combination!
Brother doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Credible counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Credible swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Brother.
Justin Credible seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Credible tries for a takedown but Brother sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brother stuffs the takedown.

Brother fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Credible lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Brother shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Credible's guard.
Justin Credible has got the better of the ground game so far.
Brother postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Brother stands and steps away. Credible gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Brother keeps the fight on the outside.

Brother gets caught flat footed, as Credible shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gil Brother has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Brother escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Credible gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gil Brother showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Credible has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
