Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jakob Artusii!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marc Khan!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan lands with a cross.
It looks like Jakob Artusii has been cut.
A shot to the body from Artusii misses
and Khan counters with a stiff right hand.
Artusii throws a poor cross that misses
and Khan counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Artusii throws a jab when Khan was well out of range.
Khan scores with a sloppy right hand. Artusii should have avoided that one.
Khan lands the left hand.
Khan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Khan connects with the punch.
Artusii throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Khan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Khan! But no joy.
Jakob Artusii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan scores with a nice right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Artusii misses with a lunging right hand
and Khan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Khan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Artusii moves forwards but Khan connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jakob Artusii's cut is getting worse.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan lands a big uppercut and Artusii crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Artusii looks OK. Khan waves Artusii back to his feet!
Artusii is rocked!
Artusii is holding his hands too far apart here. Khan throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Artusii is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Marc Khan!
Marc Khan took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Ask yourself every day - what are you fighting for?'.
