The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws an off balance right hand
and Caldwell counters with a nice uppercut.
Caldwell misses with a double jab
and Jackson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Caldwell tests Jackson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Caldwell blocks a jab.
Jackson slips a straight right by Caldwell.
Caldwell scores with a punch to the head.
Caldwell looks to score with a jab to the body but Jackson is just out of range.
Jackson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Caldwell connects with a body shot.
Jackson throws a low kick, looking for Caldwell's leg but Caldwell calmly moves out of range.
Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jackson drops his hands momentarily and Caldwell takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Jackson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Caldwell.

Jackson swings for the body but Caldwell moves out of range.
Karson Caldwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson throws a shot from downtown. Caldwell moves away and avoids it.

Jackson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Caldwell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Caldwell cracks Jackson with an open hand slap.
Jackson throws a jab but it's blocked by Caldwell.
Caldwell seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Jackson throws a right hand that Caldwell ducks under and follows up with a left that Caldwell also avoids with ease.
Jackson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Caldwell.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jackson! But no joy.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Caldwell lands a nice looking body shot.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Caldwell stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Caldwell circles away quickly and effectively.

Oooooh!!! Caldwell has knocked Jackson down with a huge combo! Caldwell steps away and waves a wobbly Jackson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Caldwell throws an uppercut from hell that sends Jackson clean off his feet! He's out cold! Caldwell stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
