Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Hayato Countinho (ranked 3019 p4p, 24757 weight class) and Kaoru Hanayama (ranked 118 p4p, 249 weight class). Hanayama has chosen I Want To Break Free as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hayato Countinho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaoru Hanayama!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Countinho tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Hanayama paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hanayama clinches.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Hanayama.

Countinho pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Hanayama rushes Countinho and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Countinho is trying to break the clinch but Hanayama is controlling him.
Countinho has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Hanayama lands a hook that snaps the head of Countinho backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Countinho swings wildly with an uppercut but Hanayama uses good head movement to avoid it.
Countinho wants to break the clinch but can't.
Countinho trying to stall but Hanayama improves his position.

Hanayama will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Countinho up against the ropes.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Countinho looking to slow down the pace here.
Countinho is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hanayama is keeping busy.

and Hanayama counters with a series of strikes. Countinho will be more careful next time no doubt.
Countinho walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hanayama checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Countinho could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hanayama circles away from the clinch attempt.
Countinho throws a head kick but Hanayama moves out of range.
We've been informed that Hanayama has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Countinho throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Countinho wants to clinch
and Hanayama connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hanayama avoids a punch combination nicely.
Countinho tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hanayama counters with a straight right hand.
Countinho pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Countinho obliges.

Hanayama pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Hanayama has Countinho pressed against the ropes, preventing Countinho from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Countinho is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Hanayama stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Countinho throws an elbow but it's blocked.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kaoru Hanayama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

As Countinho backs off Hanayama throws a huge counter combo but Countinho manages to avoid it all.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hanayama wants to counter with a clinch but Countinho pushes him away.

Hayato Countinho showed his dominance in that final round.

A less than humble Kaoru Hanayama misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
