Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wawrzyniec Sidor (ranked 5161 p4p, 4932 weight class) and Willie Fowler (ranked 249 p4p, 243 weight class). Sidor comes to the cage accompanied by Regulamin zabijania (Regulamin zabijania ). Willie Fowler will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wawrzyniec Sidor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Willie Fowler! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fowler throws a sloppy head kick and Sidor moves out of range easily. Sidor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fowler was well out of range. Poor timing from Sidor. Fowler slips a jab and a cross from Sidor.
Sidor manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fowler on his heels. He'll look to pass Fowler's guard now, I'm sure. Sidor drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fowler looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fowler looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fowler! Fowler tries to advance to mount but can't. Sidor is positioning himself to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Sidor has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Sidor is looking to reverse the position. Fowler has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Gym Goroshi London. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Sidor can't do much from the bottom here. Sidor is looking to regain half guard here but Fowler keeps moving and retains side control. Sidor has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sidor regains half guard. Sidor might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fowler prevents Sidor from improving his position. Sidor is trying to stand up here but Fowler is controlling him well. Sidor is trying is best to control the position here. The fighters are battling for position here. Sidor manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sidor is looking for a triangle but Fowler pushes his legs off easily.
Sidor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sidor tries to get out of the position. Sidor has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Fowler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sidor seems keen to control Fowler's posture. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sidor wants to get back to his feet but Fowler passes into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wawrzyniec Sidor dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Sidor takes a swing at Fowler's ribcage but misses. Sidor swats away the attempt to clinch by Fowler. Willie Fowler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fowler lands a head kick. Sidor smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Sidor looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Sidor throws a sloppy head kick and Fowler counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Sidor attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Sidor misses with a body kick. Fowler throws a leg kick which misses Sidor's front leg but catches the back leg as Sidor tries to avoid it. Sidor avoids the head kick by Fowler.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fowler wants to land a leg kick but Sidor is out of range. Sidor is looking to counter with head kicks. Sidor misses with a body kick. Fowler avoids the head kick by Sidor.
Sidor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sidor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wawrzyniec Sidor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sidor staying calm.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sidor postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ground and pound from Sidor seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Sidor tries for a kimura but Fowler is defending well. Fowler wants to control but Sidor postures up.

Fowler is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Sidor is staying active. Fowler gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Sidor is working for a guillotine from mount but Fowler frees his head quite easily.
Sidor controlling his opponent. Sidor sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sidor controlling the position easily from mount. Sidor looking to ground and pound but Fowler is blocking nicely. Sidor controlling the pace for now.

Sidor is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Fowler to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fowler shrugs it off. Sidor moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Fowler has worked his arm free - good work by Fowler!
Sidor decides to stand back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A kick lands to the mid section there for Fowler. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wawrzyniec Sidor dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Fowler gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sidor is stalling in the full guard. Sidor throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sidor postures up in Fowler's guard and throws a big left but Fowler blocks it. Sidor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fowler can do to turn this around?
That's one minute gone in the round. Sidor is looking to work some ground and pound but Fowler has wrist control. Sidor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. This is a sustained period of stalling by Sidor.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fowler throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Fowler goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Sidor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fowler was covering up waiting for the punch and Sidor finishes the takedown easily into guard. Sidor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sidor looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Sidor in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. That's three minutes gone in the round. Sidor gets to his feet - Fowler follows without any prompting. Sidor closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fowler did well to prevent Sidor getting side control. Sidor controlling the pace. Sidor seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fowler for as long as he can get away with. Fowler avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sidor. Fowler is trying to control but can't.
Sidor stops Fowler from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sidor is figuring out what he wants to do next. Sidor escapes and gets back to his feet. Sidor looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Fowler is looking to escape. Sidor is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fowler doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sidor. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sidor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fowler is just riding it out for now. Sidor eventually gives up the hold.
And that's the end of the fight! Wawrzyniec Sidor showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sidor, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
