Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Hammond (ranked 2589 p4p, 2692 weight class) and Drake Lane (ranked 350 p4p, 361 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane misses with a shot to the body
and Hammond connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lane misses with a series of wild punches.
Lane tries to bum rush Hammond with a series of wild strikes but Hammond uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lane throws a predictable looking body shot
and Hammond counters with a stiff right hand.
Lane lands with a shot to the body.
Lane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hammond circles away quickly and effectively.
Hammond swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Lane tries to bum rush Hammond with a series of wild strikes but Hammond uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hammond definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Lane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
An attempted straight right counter from Hammond misses the target.

Hammond takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Lane is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lane throws a nice looking combination but Hammond bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hammond is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
