Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Feathers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Walker! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Feathers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Walker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Walker throws a head kick that misses. Some wild striking there from Feathers.
John Feathers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker shoots in for a takedown but Feathers shows good takedown defense. Walker shoots for a double leg takedown but Feathers sprawls well. He's pushed Walker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. John Feathers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Walker. Feathers misses with a leg kick. Nice uppercut lands for Feathers. That snapped Walker's head back.
It looks like Gabriel Walker has been cut. Feathers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Feathers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Walker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Feathers wants to stand up but Walker is controlling him. Walker advances to half guard. Walker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Feathers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Walker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Feathers kicks off Walker and gets to his feet. Feathers leaves Walker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Walker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Feathers swivels and escapes. Walker looks gassed! Feathers swings for the body but Walker moves out of range.

A nice leg kick lands there from Walker. Feathers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively. Feathers could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Feathers tries to bum rush Walker with a series of wild strikes but Walker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Walker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Feathers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Walker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Feathers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Walker looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Feathers is avoiding damage well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Feathers is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Walker is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walker scores with punches from side control. Walker stands up. Feathers misses with a jab to the body
and Walker counters with a head kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Feathers swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Walker counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Feathers is lucky that one didn't land flush. John Feathers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Walker shoots in but Feathers avoids the takedown attempt easily. Feathers wants to land a leg kick but Walker is out of range. Walker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Feathers sprawls well initially but Walker persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Walker working Feathers over with strikes. Feathers on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Feathers tries to get out of the position. Feathers wants to get back to his feet. Walker frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Feathers's face.
Walker looking to secure an arm triangle but Feathers defends it well. Feathers bucks Walker off and manages to get back to his feet! Walker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Feathers but Feathers pushes him off and we're back to square one. Feathers throws a combination that misses and Feathers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Feathers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively. Walker fails with a takedown attempt. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Feathers throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Walker - that will leave a mark!
Walker tries for a takedown but Feathers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Feathers throws a series of punches but Walker avoids them all with ease. Walker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Feathers as he jumps to the side. Walker shoots in but Feathers avoids the takedown attempt easily. A combination from Feathers does no damage. Walker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Feathers is fending him off so far but Walker persists. Nope, Feathers circles away and we're back to standing. No joy there for Feathers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Feathers swings for the body but Walker moves out of range.
Feathers stuffs the takedown attempt from Walker. Walker gets slowly back to his feet. Feathers throws a combination that misses and Walker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gabriel Walker dominated that round. The cut man is working on Gabriel Walker's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Feathers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Feathers takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

and Walker counters with a shoot takedown. Feathers fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Walker works a leg free and moves into half guard. Walker passes to full mount! Walker wants to finish this one by submission but Feathers is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Walker.
That's one minute gone in the round. Feathers squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Walker content just to control the position here. Walker wants to take his opponent's back but Feathers doesn't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Feathers squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Walker postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Feathers looks a forlorn figure.

Feathers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walker on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Walker looking to secure an arm triangle but Feathers defends it well. Feathers is trying to escape the mount but Walker keeps good control and instead manages to take Feathers's back.
Walker has got one arm under Feathers's chin. This could be trouble... Feathers trying to control the other hand but Walker gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Feathers has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Gabriel Walker!
