Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soul Taker (ranked 4024 p4p, 4047 weight class) and Porier Slap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Soul Taker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Porier Slap!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slap throws a right and a left that Taker avoids nicely.
Slap wants to clinch up but Taker keeps it at a distance.
Taker changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Slap closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Taker goes for a takedown in the clinch but Slap prevents it.
Slap has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Taker after a bit of a struggle.
Slap stops a takedown attempt from Taker.
Taker fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Soul Taker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Taker tries to score a body lock takedown but Slap shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taker is looking for a takedown.
Taker changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Slap fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Taker tries to close the distance and clinch but Slap swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Slap moves into the clinch successfully.

Slap's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Taker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Slap is fending him off so far but Taker persists. Nope, Slap circles away and we're back to standing.
Slap shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Taker tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Slap manages to circle out of the way.
Taker dives in and grabs Slap's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slap pushes down on Taker's head and hops out.
Slap shoots in looking for a takedown but Taker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Slap's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Slap should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Slap fails with the takedown.
Slap tries for a takedown but Taker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Taker misses with a combination
and Slap counters with a two punch combo.

Slap goes for a double leg but Taker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Taker continues to drive forward.

A looping hook to the body misses from Taker. Slap does a little dance to reset his feet.

Taker is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Slap's half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slap trying to control but Taker postures up.

Taker is looking for a kimura but Slap is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Taker to get the leverage.
Taker trying to control from half guard but Slap is working away.
Taker is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Slap is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Taker stalling away here and it's allowed Slap to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Taker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Slap keeping moving, preventing Taker from controlling successfully.

Taker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Slap controls Taker momentarily but Taker frees himself.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Taker looking to pass the guard.
Slap not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Taker is in close to Slap's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Taker trying to control but Slap is working from the bottom.
Slap really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Taker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Taker sitting in guard here, content to control.
Taker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Taker wants to get up but he can't break Slap's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Taker passes Slap's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Soul Taker will probably get the nod.

Slap shoots and misses

so Taker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Taker is looking to stand up but Slap won't let him.

Taker distracts Slap with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Taker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Slap has momentary wrist control but Taker slips an elbow through the middle.
Taker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taker is in close to Slap's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Taker stands and throws Slap's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Taker is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Slap will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Taker is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Slap looks calm but he's in trouble here. Taker gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Slap is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Taker lets go of the hold and Slap can pop his arm back in it's socket.
