Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Vilmer Stridh (ranked 24515 p4p, 5299 weight class) and Serul Dathren (ranked 540 p4p, 526 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dathren uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stridh.
Vilmer Stridh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dathren staying out of range there.
Stridh tries to clinch but Dathren moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stridh scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dathren doesn't seem bothered though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A little jabbing left from Dathren on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Dathren fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stridh has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Stridh has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Stridh there as he acknowledges the shot.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dathren has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stridh checks a leg kick.

Dathren only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Stridh shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dathren eats them both and turns towards Stridh to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Dathren lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Nice uppercut there from Stridh.
Dathren is still on wobbly legs! Can Stridh finish him?
Stridh does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Dathren seems to have recovered his senses.
Stridh misses with an uppercut. Dathren saw that one coming.
Stridh tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dathren manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dathren! But no joy.
Dathren uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stridh.

Dathren buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A slow jab from Stridh misses its intended target.
Dathren throws out a counter right but Stridh avoids it with no problem.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stridh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Dathren counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Dathren takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dathren shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Stridh wants to clinch.

Stridh feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dathrens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Stridh lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Stridh dips to his left and cracks Dathren with an uppercut!

Dathren avoids the body shot from Stridh.
Stridh closes the distance and catches Dathren with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Dathren is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Dathren is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Dathren is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Stridh takes it!
