PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Anderson (ranked 1499 p4p, 1925 weight class) and Hermio Junior (ranked 201 p4p, 247 weight class). Anderson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pick up man. Sparky Anderson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hermio Junior!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior dives in and grabs Anderson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Anderson pushes down on Junior's head and hops out.

Anderson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Junior throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Anderson escapes and throws Junior's legs to the side, diving into side control!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Anderson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Junior isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Anderson stacks Junior on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Anderson!
