Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kimmo Peramaki (ranked 712 p4p, 1956 weight class) and Bobby Mercer (ranked 83 p4p, 191 weight class). Mercer is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Why Can't We Be Friends by WAR. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Mercer scores with a leg kick.
Peramaki misses with a straight left.

Mercer lands a big head kick that sends Peramaki tumbling to the mat! Mercer takes a step backwards and waves Peramaki back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Peramaki looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mercer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A little feinted left hand from Peramaki on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Peramaki throws a right and a left that Mercer avoids nicely.
Mercer throws a fast counter high kick but Peramaki manages to duck under it in time.
Mercer throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Peramaki fails to land with a series of punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Peramaki avoids the head kick by Mercer.
As Mercer looks to move away, Peramaki throws a big counter combo but Mercer just gets out of the way.

Mercer digs a good hook to Peramaki's body.

and Mercer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mercer thuds his shin into the meat of Peramaki's side.

Peramaki throws an overhand right that lands on Mercer's shoulder, as Mercer tries to avoid the shot.
Oh Peramaki is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mercer drops Peramaki with a straight right hand, right on the button! Mercer follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
